| WYDOT currently provides road and weather conditions only during those periods of the year when winter weather can reasonably be expected. During the summer months, weather conditions on all highways are not monitored as frequently and routine reporting of travel conditions ceases. WYDOT will limit road reporting during the summer months to those times when severe winter-like weather is predicted to last for more than twenty-four hours.
Sudden, short-term road closures or other travel restrictions may occur at all times of the year, many times for reasons unrelated to the weather. WYDOT will continue to provide this information through the local news media. |
